2010-02-01: If you are a healthcare provider who is assigned full-time to a hospital Emergency Department, you are now eligible for ALS Associate Membership (24 hour-per-month obligation) at KVRS (if you're an EMT-I or higher)!
2010-01-22: Squad 9 has been de-badged. As soon as we transfer its license plates to 923, we'll be listing Squad 9 for sale.
2010-01-20: KVRS responded to more than 22 calls per day (transporting more than 15 per day) in 2009, average.
2010-01-14: We've been awarded an RSAF grant for 50% of the cost of a replacement for our oldest ambulance (925).
2010-01-06: Our new fifth ambulance # 923 arrived today. From here it goes to the shop for installation of radios and the mobile data terminal.
2010-01-01: The Virginia Beach Rescue Squad Foundation has awarded us a grant of $15,000 to use for powered stretchers. We hope these stretchers will reduce the risk of crewmember injury as our patient population "grows".
